Stray Aid is a registered charity, Charity No. 1117372, based in Coxhoe, Durham. Our aim is to provide practical help and information on stray, lost or abandoned dogs and cats across County Durham.
If you have lost or found an animal then check the "Advice" section for helpful information and useful telephone numbers.
If you are looking for your dog and you think it may have been collected by a dog warden, please check to see if its photograph appears in the "Found Dogs" section.
The Rehoming Centre is open 10am - 4pm seven days a week.* The dogs are not available for viewing after 4pm in summer or dusk in winter, whichever is earlier. If you are visiting in the hope of finding a new pet please help us out by printing out and filling in this form.

Blanket Appeal
We always need blankets and towels and would greatly appreciate any that you could donate to our rescue kennels. Our dogs like nothing more than to curl up on their comfortable towels and blankets as they snuggle down for the night.
